The Melbourne Mail

Star Rolling has stamped himself as a horse to follow with a pair of impressive wins in recent weeks and he is expected to make it three-on-end when he steps out in Saturday’s fourth from Flemington.

Stepping up on a soft Wodonga maiden success Star Rolling made a big impression scoring at C&D last time with many of today’s rivals well held in behind him.

The bare form there, rated 87p, will be good enough to have him come out on top against that lot again without further improvement but it would come as a surprise if he wasn’t able to do better still.

The danger likely comes from elsewhere with the market suggesting there is little between him and debut winner Space who did as he liked at Geelong just 8 days ago.

The time there was slow and so to win by such a space (pun intended) was impressive, but just how impressive is hard to gauge.

The feeling is that he doesn’t deserve to be as close in betting to Star Rolling on deeds to date and that Star Rolling can, and should, be played at around that $3 mark.

The banker comes nice and early with another horse out to complete a three-timer, Cooldini, looking a “good thing” in race 2.

Cooldini has won 3 from 4 at 2000m and beyond with his lone defeat coming when wide throughout, and still only 5 lengths away, in the SA Derby.

His latest couple have been as soft as you like and he meets a field here where a majority are out of form or have reached their mark.

He’s been chalked up as an odds-on chance at R&S HQ and represents a good bet at anything better than $1.85.

With the bank built it’s time to take one on and that horse today is That’s The One.

The lay here is as much about siding with Club Command as it is taking on That’s The One, with the latter coming up, albeit narrowly, on top on our figures.

That’s The One does have a bit of a knack for finding bad luck and an inside draw may prove far from ideal for him today.

He can easily be envisaged locked away inside runners with Club Command expected to be out and making his own luck.

With that in mind That’s The One fans are entitled to want a twist, twist and a half, better than what they are currently being quoted and layers should be happy to take him on.
