The Neville Parnham trained Dominating appears very well placed to return to the winners stall when he lines up in the last race of the day at Belmont on Saturday.
Having been severely disadvantaged by the slow tempo set up in front by Hussy By Choice last start the lightly raced son Snitzel proved very impressive in the run home when charging late to only narrowly miss.
Whilst unable to salute he has continued to show good progression this time in and appears very well placed down in the weights dropping 4kg from his last start outing.
In what appears only a race in three Dominating's main rival The Rising has drawn poorly and appears to face a tough task finding the front in a race which appears to have plenty of speed engaged.
From the good draw Dominating should be able to slot in nicely off the speed and with the speed on he should get the race run to suit and finish strongly over the top of them.
Opening $4 earlier in the week he has already been met with some solid support with 5-2 the best on offer across the board. Expect him to still start shorter on raceday and be very hard to beat.
Handy juvenile Vital Importance appears well placed to keep her winning run intact when she lines up in the third race of the afternoon.
Having only missed the money on two occasions in her seven career starts the daughter of Vital Equine has been racing in great form this time in having notched up a hat-trick of wins at this track last start.
One of few gallopers able to make up any ground on a day which was predominantly dominated by leaders she proved ultra impressive when peeling wide from the tail of the field to work home strongly down the outside.
The step up to 1400m should prove no concern and given a majority of her rivals here were part of the beaten brigade last start there is no reason why she can't just win again especially with the aid of Chris Parnham's 3kg claim.
Having not budged in early markets she remains a $3.20 chance across the board which appeals as a more than fair betting proposition.
The Grant Williams trained Elite Belle appears a worthy risk at her current quote when she steps out in the fifth race of the day.
Currently installed the $3.20 favourite in what appears a very open first leg of the Quaddie, Elite Belle was no doubt impressive when resuming last start however given her best form was seen over two miles last start expect her to suffer from stayer's second up syndrome and prove a touch flat.
Adding to that both Black Magic Miss and Dare To Doubt rate clear on recent outings and feel Elite Belle will be spotting them too big a start at the top of the straight.
While she is obviously a galloper on the rise at her current quote she doesn't appear a good betting proposition and is worth taking her on.
