An appeal date has been set for jockey Ben Vassallo's suspension appeal.

Licensed jockey Ben Vassallo’s appeal against conviction and penalty after being suspended for a period commencing 25 November 2013 and expiring on 6 December 2013, has been set down for Monday, 2 December 2013 commencing at 9:30am at Racing NSW's offices in Sydney.

Ben Vassallo rode Via Facile in the Snake Gully Cup at Gundagai on Friday, 15 November 2013 and was charged with careless riding under AR137(a). He is riding under a Stay of Proceedings until the day the appeal is heard.
