The Francis-Henri Graffard-trained Calandagan looks set for a tilt at the Qipco Champion Stakes after his excellent second-place finish to City Of Troy in the Juddmonte International Stakes at York last week. A winner of the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot, connections of the Aga Khan-owned three-year-old gelding have confirmed he has come out of the race well.

Owen Burrows' Deira Mile will head straight to the St Leger Stakes at Doncaster next month after being narrowly denied at Windsor on Saturday. The Epsom Derby fourth was a hit-favourite for the Listed August Stakes and despite being beaten, connections remain in favour of a tilt at Britain's final Classic of the season.

Clive Cox's Juddmonte International third Ghostwriter could make the journey across the Irish Sea for the Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes. The talented son of Invincible Spirit has emerged with credit at the top-level this season and connections revealed a tilt at the Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes was under 'consideration'.

Hollie Doyle edged closer to 1000 career winners when notching her century for the year at Ripon this afternoon. Doyle steered Archie Watson's 4/5 market leader Zayer to victory in the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes. Doyle said on Sky Sports Racing: "That was my target at the start of the year, to try to get to 1,000 international (career) winners. I'm not too far away so that will be good to get that done."
