Ryan Moore has received the call-up for the ride aboard Inspiral in the Prix Jacques le Marois, where the John and Thady Gosden-trained mare will bid for a third success in the Deauville contest. Previously ridden by Frankie Dettori, Inspiral has been partnered by Kieran Shoemark in her two defeats this season and owners Cheveley Park Stud have made the decision to switch to Ryan Moore, who has ridden to big-race success for them in the past. In an interview on Nick Luck's Daily Podcast, managing director Chris Richardson said: "Ryan Moore rides Inspiral in the Prix Jacques le Marois on Sunday. Ryan has ridden many of our best horses over the years and we are always keen to use him when he is available."

French trainers Jean-Claude Rouget and Jerome Reynier have announced they will combine on a joint-license from the start of 2025. With Jean-Claude Rouget suffering from ill health during the 2024 season, the link-up between the two trainers is an exciting new venture – with both fielding top-class performers in recent years, such as Facteur Cheval and last year's 'Arc' hero Ace Impact.

York Racecourse have made the unprecedented move to display the surnames of all jockeys on their breeches during the upcoming Ebor Festival. It is hoped that the inclusion of names will encourage audiences and TV viewers to engage with the sport's athletes, with chief executive William Derby saying: "Alongside our wonderful equine athletes, the jockeys are the stars of our sport and we want to further spotlight their talent, commitment and personalities to race fans and beyond. I am delighted that York can play a part in further raising the profile of jockeys on a global sporting stage at the Sky Bet Ebor Festival."

The Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville is a possible target for the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes winner Arabian Dusk. Although the Simon and Ed-Crisford filly would need to be supplemented for the race, she would receive weight from her male rivals and connections are keen to explore their options. She is currently entered for the six-furlong Group 2 Lowther Stakes at York on 22 August.
