Zac Purton managed to pick up 6 winners in the 11 races on closing day.

It isn't that Zac was short of numbers as he had already been proclaimed champion jockey but somehow sometimes he just has these streaks.  There should be plenty of pocket money for the kids as they head off on their vacation.

The Class 2 saw a slight upset when Beauty Waves – Ng-Badel – got the better of the short-priced favourite Call Me Glorious and thus was one of the races Zac didn't win.  Duke Wai was his usual honest self in third spot but with only 7 runners in the race that didn't help the national debt.

However harmony in the world was restored when Chanchung Glory won for Lui-Purton finishing ahead of Moments in Time with The Golden Scenery third.  That race had 10 starters in it.

Romantic Warrior got the Horse of the Year and all associate titles after his wondereful run of success with wins in Australia and Japan. And Francis Lui got the champion trainer in a closer finish than many of the races with Pierre Ng.  Should have been a dad-heat!
