On rebounding from first-up defeat: "She is a class act. You've got to be prepared to forgive her for her first-up effort, there was a lot that went against her."

"And yet she pulled up from the run well, she has trained on sweetly since then so we stuck to our guns."

"The Phar Lap is a perfect race for her as a stepping stone to the Vinery (Stud Stakes) and now she gets back to 2000 in a couple of weeks, she is going to look spot-on.

Clash with Orchestral in Vinery: "That will be interesting. She is a good filly Orchestral.

"You can't have a short memory, you've only got to open up the replays from October and see what she was doing in the spring.

"It was a big effort in the Wakeful to run second, a sweet effort in the Manifold before that but the win in the Group One VRC Oaks was pretty special. That was the win of a filly that had top-class Group One ability and that's the way this filly is headed.

"She has been a big price at her two runs back and (Godolphin form expert) Dominic Beirne had her odds-on in this race today.

"Hopefully those that have stuck with her are rewarded and she is the type of filly that is going to reward Godolphin in preparations ahead."

On Tom Marquand: "He had a bit of faith in the horse. He came out to the gallops at Osborne Park to help us out before her first-up run and just talking to him here, he had the same glint in his eye about her chances as I had and he stuck solid to the plan to save ground before turning for home.

"He's a class rider who is hitting his straps now. We're glad to have supported him from the moment he got here this campaign, and we will continue to do so."

Winning Jockey: Tom Marquand

On the win along the inside: "She was (good). I won't take any credit for that one. That was James (Cummings) and Darren's (Beadman) masterplan and all I did was jump out of the stalls and execute what they were saying they thought would work."

"She's proven she's a very good filly before. She didn't need to step up on what she's been doing in the past to do that."

"She had her return run the other week and things didn't go to plan. We got knocked wide and she obviously needed that reappearance run and things to go her way and that masterplan was the difference today, with her being able to get down the inside and then explode through."

On building momentum again in Sydney: "It's obviously always tough coming back down (to Sydney). You've got boys and girls fighting for their rides all year round here and you step back in to what's a competitive market, for sure. I'm always lucky with the support I get and any support I do get is greatly appreciated. Getting aboard good fillies like this is what I really enjoy and hopefully there's a few more over the next few weeks."

Are we going to see (wife) Hollie Doyle here over the carnival: "I've been trying to sucker her into it. I keep saying to people when they need a light rider for the Doncaster or something like that, she's only a flight away. But I'm sure she might one day but it's a tough time for us to come away, really. Her job is primarily with two-year-olds and they're trying to get busy now. I think the right Group One ride would bring her down though."

Beaten Jockeys:

Regan Bayliss (Raf Attack): "He was a little bit disappointing overall."

Adam Hyeronimus (Les Vampires): "He went great. Just had to roll all the way down the back. Probably took it out of him late. He's probably not strong enough physically to handle it at the moment."

Josh Parr (Tannhauser): "I was really pleased with his closing sectionals. Was a little bit patchy throughout. If he can put it all together 100% of the race, he'll be a good show."

Nash Rawiller (Heman): "He ran an encouraging race. Just off the bridle, he didn't handle those conditions."

James McDonald (Saltcoats): "He was a bit disappointing."

Jason Collett (Kintyre): "Ran really well. Dragged back around the turn but hit the line well."

John Allen (Our Couver): "He was OK for something a little easier."

Tommy Berry (Ravello): "A bit disappointing today."

Jay Ford (Noisy Boy): "Really good. He stayed the trip nicely and will go up to the Tulloch now."

Tim Clark (Makarena): "She was very honest as she's been all preparation."
