Respected trainer Peter Snowden regards lightly-raced filly Tashi as a horse with black-type ability and he is keen to see how she handles her latest test at Rosehill.

The daughter of Sebring rises to Saturday grade in the Acy Securities Handicap (1200m) off the back a solid start to her racing career, winning on debut at the Kensington track in June and beating all but Operative in midweek company last month.

Snowden has been buoyed by both performances and believes she can develop into a handy filly for owner George Altomonte

"She won her first start impressively and I was rapt with her run the other day at Rosehill in a very strong race," Snowden said.

"She defied the bias of the track on the day and ran really well.

"She is a talented filly, and there is no doubt in my mind she is a black-type filly."

Mirra View is another horse yet to reach her ceiling and a string of consistent performances have earned her a shot at Saturday level in the TAB Handicap (1350m).

The mare is a half-sister to dual Group 1 placegetter and barn mate Mirra Vision, who hit her straps as an older horse, and Snowden feels four-year-old Mirra View is likewise a late bloomer.

"Mirra Vision was four or five before she hit her best and arguably this prep has been her best prep," Snowden said.

"This filly is still immature, but I'm sure she will be a Saturday class horse.

"Her runs at the midweeks have been a solid and it's a race that fits, a fillies and mares (benchmark) 78 and 1350 (metres) is her right trip so she will be competitive."

Tashi and Mirra View will be among a quartet of Rosehill contenders for Peter and Paul Snowden along with French import Touristic in the Merry Christmas Members Handicap (1500m) and Devil's Throat in the Ranvet Handicap (1200m).

Kerrin McEvoy partners Touristic, while the Snowdens' will rely on Sam Clipperton to partner their other three runners.
