Winning Trainer: John Sadler (assistant trainer Tom Sadler speaking)

On the wet track: "I really wasn't sure how he'd handle the ground. John (Sadler) and I came out here first thing this morning after we'd got all our work done at Pakenham and we were a bit nervous because it was pretty soggy.

"I walked it again with Matty just before the race and we felt that we'd found a good lane, but obviously you never know until you let their heads go."

On today's plan: "Really it looked quite straight-forward out there, but we did have a solid plan and Matty pulled it off perfectly."

On winning owner Bon Ho: "I'm just delighted for Mr Ho, he's a huge supporter of our stable. He looked like a really special horse early days and that run is probably getting back to one of his better performances."

On the future: "He's had one go down the straight and he failed, but he was a colt then and he's been gelded since then.

"I would love to just get him winning again. That will do him the world of good confidence-wise and if we could get another win under his belt (it would be good).

"He's certainly got above average ability and those races are certainly an option, but I'm just delighted to get him back winning."

Winning Jockey: Matthew Cartwright

On the wet track: "It was a great win today. He was a little bit of a query on the wet track but he loved it out there. I think he probably grows a leg on the wet track to be honest."

On how he handled him in the run: "He's a horse I just wanted to keep relaxed, so bowling along on him was beneficial and he let go really good and was strong on the line."

On his maturity: "He has matured. He's a more relaxed customer, so that helps him finish off better at the finish and he's a horse that's improved from his first-up run really well, so I couldn't see why he wouldn't go on with it."
