Perth’s leading owner Bob Peters is likely to have four runners in Saturday’s $1 million Kingston Town Classic at Ascot.

Peters plans to take on the Group One winners Black Heart Bart, It’s Somewhat and Great Shot with Silverstream, Cosmic Storm, Royal Star and the three-year-old filly Perfect Jewel.

Perfect Jewel beat the colts in the G2 WA Guineas (1600m) at her latest start and will carry only 50kg against the older horses under the wfa scale of the Kingston Town Classic (1800m).

Lee Steere Stakes winner Silverstream could finish only 13th and Cosmic Storm was tenth behind Great Shot at their latest starts in the G1 Railway Stakes (1600m) at Ascot on November 25.

Royal Star earned a shot at the Kingston Town Classic after finishing second over 1400m at Ascot at her latest start.

Great Shot will step up in distance after beating Black Heart Bart in a Railway Stakes upset on November 25.

Trainer Rhys Radford has said step to 1800m will not be problem for the son of Magnus despite the Kingston Town being his first attempt at the distance.

Great Shot has recorded al his eight wins between 1200m and 1600m.

WA Guineas runner-up Achernar Star will also take on the older horses in the Kingston Town Classic.

The three-year-old gelding has finished second at stakes level three times. He will be ridden by Chris Parnham.
