Godolphin still have plenty of firepower for the remainder of the spring and beyond with some standout performers at Friday's Rosehill barrier trials.
One to catch the eye was Ottoman, who showed she can still be a spring carnival player with a dominant 1.3 length win in her 900 metre trial.
A stakes-winning juvenile, Ottoman resumed with a third placing to star filly Speak Fondly in the Group 2 Furious Stakes before disappointing in the Tea Rose Stakes behind Pearls.
Freshened since that run, Ottoman sat wide in the trial but when James McDonald let her stride before the home turn she quickly reined in the leaders and went home too well under a tight hold to beat Dinghu Mountain and Aegean Sea in 54.9 on a good 4 track.
Godolphin provided the trifecta in another 900 metre heat when Irish import Duca Valentinois went home strongly to beat Group 1 performer Generalife and Medcaut.
A lightly-raced four-year-old, Duca Valentinois won his last two starts at The Curragh around 2000 metres before heading to Australia and caught the eye hitting the line hard for Sam Clipperton.
James McDonald gave Generalife an easy time in the run home and he is likely to appear over the carnival after his sixth placing to Terravista when first up in the Premiere Stakes.
Godolphin also unveiled two smart juveniles when Telperion and Retaliation streeted their rivals in a heat for two-year-old colts and geldings over 900m.
Telperion (Street Cry) was still a little erratic but showed natural ability in hitting the line well for James McDonald while Retaliation (Bernardini) was given an easy time by Sam Clipperton, finishing 1.3 lengths behind his stablemate.
They were more than nine lengths clear of blue-blooded third placegetter Comin’ Through, a Fastnet Rock half-brother to Cox Plate favourite Criterion.
Telperion stopped the clock at 53.4, almost two seconds faster than the fillies heat, won by Chase And Status (Exceed and Excel) for Gerald Ryan in 55.3.
Godolphin had another trial winner with their stakes winner Haussmann successful by a half length over 900 metres, his stakes-winning stablemate Mohave running fourth in the same heat.
