Chris Scholtz - Early Thoughts

R&S Contributing Editor Chris Scholtz takes a look at tomorrow’s Sydney racing.

SELECTIONS

Randwick Race 3 - 9 Madame Pauline

Made a terrific return from an extended enforced break of 511 days to just miss by a nose over 1000m at this course on May 25 and can only benefit from that outing.

She won her first two country starts in excellent style including one on a Soft 7, adding to her strong claims under similar conditions.

Randwick Race 6 - 9 Metamorphic

Excellent value for a runner that boasts strong credentials for this class after resuming with an excellent third over 1250m at Canterbury under 60kg when he conceded 5kg to the winner.

Gets down in the weights and only has to find the form that saw him match the likes of Wagner, Junglized and Bravissimo in similar class last prep to play a big hand over a trip where he has missed a place only once in seven attempts.

Randwick Race 8 - 15 So You Win

Tricky affair Chris Waller providing more than half the field but hard not to like the chances of this big improver after his strong last start win over 1800m at Rosehill when second up on May 18 under 59.5kg. Drops a massive 10kg off that win with the 3kg allowance for Brock Ryan and backs that up with strong course and distance stats. His winning form on affected tracks adds to his claims.
