Chris Scholtz - Early Thoughts
R&S Contributing Editor Chris Scholtz takes a look at tomorrow’s Sydney racing.
SELECTIONS
He won’t be the same attractive price as last week but is well placed to record a quick winning double backing up over the same trip and carrying 1.5kg less weight in a slightly stronger field.
The factor in his favour will be the certain soft ground as he relished those conditions at Rosehill last Saturday after returning from racing on the much firmer tracks in Melbourne.
Randwick Race 4 - 4 I've Got The Looks
Expecting this quality mare to find her best form returning to her own sex at her third start since resuming and a soft trial that followed her last start in the Takeover Target at Gosford.
She’s at her best with give in the ground, boasts winning form over this course and distance and is favourably treated by the set weights conditions, being 3kg better off against her stablemate Dublin Lass for beating her the last time they met in a black type race in Brisbane.
Randwick Race 8 - 10 Roaring To Win
Really attacked the line at his first 1400m attempt for an easy win on a soft track at this course 21 days ago, beating subsequent winner Lunar Rise.
Rises 2.5kg against a deeper field but he is a horse on the up and should again be favoured by the track conditions.
