Please find below a good betting race for the weekend based on recent trials.
Scone Race 6 - 5 Rose Of Choice
TRIAL COMMENTS
ROSE OF CHOICE – Away only moderately but picked up ground quickly to settle just forward of midfield. Kept sneaking runs along through the inside and took the lead at the top of the straight. Really urged along and took a while to respond but when she did she put a space on them in a couple of strides. Will take plenty from this heat and it was a good trial.
SUMMARY
Speed here comes from CALMING INFLUENCE who will most likely cross and lead from barrier 11. She may control the tempo and there doesn’t look a huge amount of speed engaged with a number of backmarkers.
Our blackbooker ROSE OF CHOICE is likely to get a perfect run from barrier 6 here. Loved the way this has trialled on two occasions leading in and she looks tuned up to the minute for this. Her first-up record is superb winning once and placing on four occasions from 5 attempts. Reasonably well in at the weights and she looks very hard to beat.
CALMING INFLUENCE was very good first-up and may just get an easier time of it here. No surprise to see her run a bold race on speed and be hard to run down on the quick backup.
Kris Lees has two engaged here but it is FINE BUBBLES who looks his best chance. This 5YO closed the race off sensationally in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes behind Avoid Lightning and a replica of that run would see her be very hard to beat here. She looks ready for the step up to 1400m and she has been given a tune up over 1000m at Wyong last week in readiness for her assignment here.
DIADEME is the class horse in this race but looked to have every chance last start, her first in Australia. Her record when down in trip reads well and the 1400m suits. Expecting her to be around the mark but have a couple ahead of her.
Feel our blackbooker ROSE OF CHOICE will get a lovely run in transit and no matter what tempo this race is run at she should get her chance. A lovely each way chance. If CALMING INFLUENCE can control the speed she can give a massive sight and FINE BUBBLES looks to be the best of the closers.
