Well performed sprinter with strong city form when last in work is ideally placed to resume on a winning note.
Has been flying in recent trials, easily beating the class act Kuro in a Gosford heat last month before cruising to another strong win at Wyong. Astute stable has made a winning move by taking advantage of Samantha Clenton’s 3kg claim.
Dominant last start winner of the Country Championship over 1400m at Randwick has now won five of his eight career starts including a victory over this course and distance in February.
Possesses a classy turn of foot and should measure up to this class with a favourable rails draw and a 2kg drop in weight from his latest success.
Scone Race 8 - 3 Target In Sight
More than happy to forgive this quality sprinter for his last start sixth in the G3 Hall Mark Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on April 18 when he got too far out of his ground on a difficult affected track carrying 58kg.
He was in excellent form prior to that effort and he has since finished an easy third in a Warwick Farm trial that points to him bouncing back to his best from an ideal gate. First start here but he is unbeaten in two starts at the trip.
