This promising High Chaparral filly was right out of luck when having only her third start at Randwick on Melbourne Cup day, finishing fourth over 1300m to Sebrina in a race that is relevant form reference for this event.
She’s open to plenty of improvement of that run with a handy 2.5kg drop in weight, making her a worthy gamble at her generous early odds in an even field.
Rosehill Race 3 - 3 Church Boy
Shooting for his fourth straight win and fifth in just 10 career starts. Has carried 58kg easily at his last two starts at Warwick Farm, letting down with sharp acceleration to score over 1300m and 1600m and he remains well placed to add another win to his sequence on the same weight.
He obviously goes well for Blake Shinn and with several horses in this field expected to push forward and set a solid tempo he should be ridden to have the last run at them.
Rosehill Race 4 - 7 Green Beret
Let the Joe Pride stable down when resuming over this course and distance on October 25 but was anchored by 62kg after a tough run in fast time and will be a big improver dropping sharply in weight to 54.5kg.
He carried 61kg at his last run before a break when second to his stablemate Diamond Oasis conceding that horse 3kg and now meets him 5.5kg better, backed up by his excellent course and distance stats.
