• Randwick Race 6 - KEY TO RACE TRACK CONDITIONS
SESSIONS - Settled second last on the outside. Showed his exceptional turn of foot and flashed down the outside late. Made up a stack of ground in what was visually a sensational piece of work. A known superb trialler but he is clearly going well. Could this be the prep he turns it on and shows his best?
DIDNTCOSTALOT - Absolute speedster who jumped well before taking a sit in behind Rain Affair. Peeled off the leaders back and went straight past the leader under little pressure in what was a brilliant display. Ran superb time and this was a very impressive trial. Clearly flying this time in and can run a good race fresh. Put a big gap on third.
ATMOSPHERICAL - Had a lovely run in behind the leader. Cruised along in the straight under no pressure and constantly made ground on the winner. Nice performance and probably the pick from this trial.
SUMMARY
This is a fascinating event for the sprinters. RAIN AFFAIR only knows one way and is sure to set a solid tempo with I’M ALL THE TALK likely to be up there also. AUSSIES LOVE SPORT has early toe and he will no doubt be handy to the speed. They will fly along in this event.
This solid tempo out front could really set the race up for the likes of SESSIONS who comes off another superb trial. This bloke always trials well but he is a very talented sprinter and this could be the prep he really stands up.
Barrier 4 should see him get a lovely smother and expecting him to be charging late with even luck. Just want the track to dry up as much as possible for this 5YO as we aren’t convinced he gets through it and first-up on a wet track, carrying top weight has to be some concern.
DIDNTCOSTALOT sizzled in his latest trial, running very good time and making RAIN AFFAIR look second rate. The fact he lines up in a Group 3 suggests he is flying and he is no doubt ready to run a race here fresh. His trial was too good to leave out and with any luck from the barrier he is a definite smoky.
Our third blackbooker in this event is ATMOSPHERICAL who boasts a sensational career record with an 80% winning strike rate. She is a very promising mare and can run a ripping race here fresh in what is her toughest test to date. No surprise to see her measure up.
Can envisage SAFEGUARD getting a perfect run in this event and for that reason he has to come into calculations. His trial leading in was very good and the tongue tie goes on for the first time. Definitely goes into all exotics and quaddies. TARGET IN SIGHT went super first-up and this could be the prep he takes it to the next level. He doesn’t mind it wet and must be respected.
A great race and one that we are confident that our blackbookers will run ripping races. The firmer the track, the more confident we are in regard to SESSIONS. He is the best horse in the race and horses seldom trial better than he did leading in. He can win.
DIDNTCOSTALOT seems to be flying and we feel he can figure here also with even luck. ATMOSPHERICAL can definitely measure up. Exotics around these three and possibly SAFEGUARD are definite options.
