Punters Corner
Staking Plans and Systems
We offer to you some punting strategies which you may wish to try out and apply to current betting practices.
This week’s punting plan revolves around trying to zone in on the improving horse in competitive handicaps.
Using four simple rules we can take big handicap fields and quickly narrow them down to horses who profile as progressive and likely to improve ahead of the handicapper.
Rule 1) Must have finished top five last time out - We want to be finding horses in form!!
Rule 2) Must have won a race in last three starts - Again, we want horses in form and on the rise!!
Rule 3) Second or third run for the campaign - Finding horses who are likely to be on the improve now.
Rule 4) No more than a dozen career starts - This finds the horse with best days still ahead.
Taking this and ruling it over some of the competitive handicaps this weekend we find a couple of likely candidates. Lady Melksham ticks all the boxes and now stands out in a mighty competitive last race at Moonee Valley and 20 minutes later Prince Cheri passes the test in the last at Rosehill.
Good chance to play a late double!!
