Explanation:

The 1400m at Flemington has changed somewhat in complexion since the redevelopment a few years ago. You have tended to be able to cover ground and blend into the race rather than needing to lead and roll along. From the inside two gates, two horse who run well at Flemington (Pago Rock and Launay) look the leaders with Niblick, who had speed in provincial Listed Races, and Cosmic Causeway from wide next in line.

This map leaves Dany The Fox in a lovely trailing position. Glen Boss can race the Danroad 5yo closer than he did in the Regal Roller. He’s much more a 1400m horse and missing that Lidari race last week may not be the worst thing. Mick Price would not be starting him if there was still an issue.
