African Pulse is an impressive young sprinter

The Racing and Sports Team have come up with various horses in 2012 that could very easily contend in the big races coming up.
• AFRICAN PULSE (Mike Moroney) - We mentioned this last week as a horse to watch but looking at this from a future perspective, it might be suited to the Brisbane Winter where the Moroney team often takes a big team.
• CREWE (Hawkes Partnership) - Unheralded maiden will be one to watch when he resumes. Seemingly all at sea on wet ground, he will be better for the experience and getting to the mile might see him challenge for better things.
• INDUNA (Peter Snowden) - Was the big improver in the 3yo ranks in the Spring and should have won the Derby at Flemington by some way, if not enough. Bred on the dam's side to run it out as a more mature horse, he can go on with it in the Autumn as sometimes it is the beaten brigade in the VRC Derby that end up having the best records.
• MIDAS TOUCH (Robert Hickmott) - While things didn't go well in the Mackinnon Stks, this stallion will be better for having another spell. He couldn't win during the Spring but boxed on well in several races and the stable have great confidence in him. Don't be surprised if you see him in an Australian Cup or even up to Sydney for the Ranvet/BMW if Lloyd brings him north.

• STREAMA (Guy Walter) - Love the fact she was pulled up stumps with after a dominant Flight Stks effort. Not that what she beat were champions but she rated up there with Mosheen and Atlantic Jewel using Hallowell Belle as the guide. Looms as a perfect Doncaster Mile candidate in the Autumn.
• TORIO'S QUEST (Brett Partelle) - Nothing went right for him in the Spring. With a good break, a freshen up on the Central Coast and an Autumn/Winter agenda which might suit his racing pattern better he can bounce back quickly.
• ZABEELIONAIRE (Leon Corstens) - Still a maiden but has obvious talent as was shown in finishing well for fourth in the Derby. Bred to want the mile and a half so you'd expect a complete AJC Derby preparation rather than being urged up for Guineas type races. Just needs the right amount of time.
