Handsupfordetroit in his old incarnation in Sydney
NEW SOUTH WALES
SR 2-3 OUTLAW PRINCE (Anthony Cummings): Only newcomer in this field did his best work late when second in 1058m trial at Randwick on 20 June.
SR 5: Top weight (1) M'LADY PEDRILLE was not knocked about when second in a Randwick 1050m heat in heavy going on 1 July. (2) MAFIA MISS was an easy 4½ lengths winner on a better dead surface over 1030m at Rosehill on 28 June in a much sharper hit out.
SR 6-9 DAILIKA (Gabrielle Englebrecht): Caught the eye working to the line in good style when fourth in a strong 900m heat at Rosehill on 28 June.
SR 8-2 RIVER OF SALVATION (Gai Waterhouse): Went out in winning form and may well pick up where he left off after his strong win in his latest 1208m trial at Randwick on 20 June.
VICTORIA
This meeting is always hard to find triallers for as most of the races are finals and hence most have run in the leads up already.
MR 6-12 NICASTRO (Jarrod McLean): Said to be off the back of a good gallop after missing the run at Hamilton where the stable had hoped to win and become top point scorer of the Winter Series which would have meant an incentive bonus coming connection's way should he win the final.
QUEENSLAND
BR 1-10 KORANOVSKY (Tony Gollan): From a noted sprinting stable, this mare was just behind the placegetters in the trial won by stablemate below. She had a very long and successful preparation last time and won first up in it so consider.
BR 1-13 HANDSUPFORDETROIT (Tony Gollan): Coming from the same yard, this former Grahame Begg horse may have come back better if the winning of a recent Toowoomba trial is anything to go by. We could see vast improvement.
SOUTH AUSTRALIA
AR 3-6 HOT DIAMOND (Mark Minervini): Two-year-old making race debut. Defeated Shoctonic in a trial here last week and that horse will probably start favourite in this. It was a quicker trial than the open class sprinters obviously goes well and should run a forward race form a good draw on debut.
