Foxstar comes off two easy trials
NEW SOUTH WALES
SR 4: Promising (10) FOXSTAR has been fitted for his return with two easy trials that have obviously caught the eye as he has been well tried in early markets. (6) MUMSLAD was also asked to do little in his lead-up trial at Rosehill but he boasts good first-up figures.
SR 6-3 VIVA LAS (John O'Shea): Smart third in a Rosehill trial has her primed for bold fresh run. Note that she was unlucky when starting her last campaign.
SR 8: Gai Waterhouse has put the work into (4) DAINTREE ROAD and he looks ready after he was sent out to Hawkesbury for a good 1000m trial second on May 16. (3) HONEST LIES needs little work and wasn't asked to extend when fifth behind Love Conquers All in a strong heat at Rosehill on May 17. (5) DAYTONA BEACH likes it longer but he did sprint up well for second to Geared Up over 800m at Warwick Farm on May 20.
VICTORIA
MR 1-8 KITTY COTSWOLD (Mick Price): This Flying Spur filly scored in a recent trial at Cranbourne where she would have gotten some very nice confidence. Stable are going well too.
QUEENSLAND
BR 7-13 SHEZ SINSATIONAL (Allan Sharrock): Said to be working excellently in the lead up to the Oaks. The three weeks between runs have allowed the travel from NZ to occur and the trainer believed most kiwis go best first run in Australia.
SOUTH AUSTRALIA
AR 1-3 JUST DISCREET (Richard Jolly): Two-year-old filly making her debut. Trialled earlier this year and finished a close-up third. Comes from a very successful family, stemming from her grand-dam Halo Again who has produced the top local family of Be Discreet, Gilded Angel, Kaholo, My Advocator, Oahu and She's Discreet. Most were trained by Richard Jolly and he has this filly as well. Expected to go well on debut.
