Two very impressive winners in Berlin and Deauville

At Hoppegarten Joseph O'Brien was seeing if Al Riffa would stay the 2400m.

No probs Joseph - he came, he ran and he conquered in a smart time and he's now been cut to 14/1 for the Arc!  That was in the 134th Preis von Berlin, a race which has been used as an Arc prep by some previous winners.  Narrativo 12/1 was second and Best of Lips third.

At Deauville the feature Jacques le Marois saw a blistering run from Charyn to win in record time for an emotional Roger Varian and Silvestre de Souza.  Metropolitan ran a very good second and Inspiral who started slowly and didn't look like she wanted to be there suddenly decided to run and finished third.

For the G3s on the card, Cowardofthecounty 7/1 won in record time with Houquetot second and Scandalo third.

The Gontaut-Brion was won comfortably by Al Hakeem who now proceeds to the Arc with Woodchurch second.  Feed The Flame was very disappointing – it was a very hot day so maybe the weather was not to his liking.

Later the Prix Lady O'Reilly saw Mosaique emerge from the shadows to win from Le Combat Continue 14/1 and Vigotata 11/1.  Joint favourite with the winner Gaia Real was 5th.
