It's been hard to keep track of which Saratoga races are going to be run and how.

The Troy finished up being run on the dirt and therefore lost most of the main players when it was finally run on Saturday, and it may have been downgraded to a Gr 3.  For the record Surveillance 6/4 won. Also on Saturday the Special Gr 2 went to Showcase 7/2 from First Resort and Smoken Wicked 6/1.

On Sunday at Saratoga the Fourstardave eventually was run and went to Carl Spackler in a very smart run winning by 3 ½ lengths from More Than Looks with Ottoman Fleet third.

And the Derby finally happened with the win going to Carson's Run 11/2 from Legend of Time and Deterministic.

Del Mar had fewer problems and the Yellow Ribbon went to Anisette with a dead-heat for second between Uncorked and Fuente Ovejuna.

At Colonial Downs Trikari was moved to the Secretariat Gr 2 from the Invitational Derby at Saratoga and justified this by winning.  The Beverly D Gr2 went to the Canadian champ Moira who went off as 7/10 favourite.

The Arlington Million saw a confident win from Nations Pride who was the even money favourite.  Integration was second home and Ancient Rome third.
