This G2 saw the consecration of Ka Ying Rising as a star performer.

He looked to be in great condition and was a cut above the competition – even California Spangle who finished third with the very promising Helios Express 18.0 running second for Size-Badel.  Beauty Waves ran a good race for fourth and should pick up a good race in the not-too-distant future,  But Ka Ying Rising looks very special.

The HKJC 140th Anniversary Cup saw Karma come to the fore and win for Fownes-Ho with Helene Feeling 31.0 second and Patch of Theta, who started favourite, third over the 1600m
