Kranji Mile at Singapore

A rare (these days) G1 race with just local runners at present but the public is back.

Saturday sees the running of the Kranji Mile, the only survivor of the former International Races held this weekend.

It's a pity they chose this race as the Japanese have good mile races at home and Hong Kong not got the horses for this trip as they have recently raced at home.

While Michael Clement's will saddle 4 winners, it looks to be between the Lim stable runners Lim's Lightning and Lim's Kosciuszko who are both with Dan Meagher.  Lim's Lightning was a notorious rogue earlier but Meagher seems to have found a way to settle him down and bring out his potential.  "Kosi" has always been a more tractable horse which is not to say he isn't talented.

They should make a race of it.
