Somehow Super Easy got himself out of a pocket, then got blocked in one direction, tried another and finally got through to win the Singapore Guineas.

This was an amazing performance from an amazing horse: not only has he got speed and stamina, he's a horse who thinks! And he's unbeaten! It was a race that will long be remembered by all who were fortunate to see it.

Earlier the Aushorse Golden Horshoe went to Pitstop from Easy Man and Hogwarts Express, the latter find some problems in the early stages but was running on well at the end. Super Good stlopped vey quickly about 50m out but there are no reports of an injury. Golden Prince was up there for most of the trip and should pick up a race before long.

Hammer Down, our emergency selection after My Son was scratched, showed his appreciation of this selection by winning the Given Vision Kranji A over the 1200m, with Gingerbread Man second and Mr Timely third. Coup Align was last and again we have been unable to catch him! May have to give him a miss for a while.

And then the Guineas! Cash Luck ran second for a Freedman quinella with Shuttle Man third and Better Life, who took the eye in the parade ring, fourth.

News this morning at the track is that Always Certain has been scratched from the Cup.

The weather has been fine and while it is hot it's not too humid, so it should suit the horses who like a cast track.
