Starting off in the West Del Mar hosted the San Clemente Gr 2.

Iscreamuscream went off as favourite – it was apparently World Ice Cream Day after all and managed to find a bit extra to fend off challenges from Zona Verde who had to settle for second, with Medora who had been favourite earlier taking third.

Moving over to Monmouth, the United Nations which is run on the turf, saw some upsets with Get Smokin coming out on top for Casse-de la Cruz having started at 9/1.  Grand Sonata was second and Tawny Port third leaving some of the more fancied runners still running.f

The Haskell saw Dornach up hold the family tradition of winning which he accomplished at the expense of MIndframe who could not catch him.  Dornach could be heading to the Travers after a spell in a hyperbaric chamber to treat a skin problem!  Fierceness was scratched leaving a field of 7 and our sub Timberlake ran third.

At Saratoga Thorpedo Anna won her 6th race from seven starts to take out the Coaching Club American Oaks and leaving Candied 4 ½ lengths back in second of the seven runners.  Kenny McPeek is waiting till Saturday to see if she will take on the boys in the Travers or stay with her own sex in the Alabama.
