Haldon Gold Cup on the cards for Editeur Du Gite

Gary Moore has outlined the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter on November 10 as the likely reappearance destination for Clarence House winner Editeur Du Gite.

The progressive chaser jumped his rivals into submission gamely landing a first top-level success in the Clarence House Chase at Cheltenham last January before two fourth-place finishes in the Queen Mother Champion Chase and Celebration Chase.

A pleasing reappearance at Exeter next month should see the nine-year-old's sights turned towards more big-race two-mile chases.

Moore said: "He's fine and, all being well, he goes to Exeter for the Haldon Gold Cup,"

"He could run in the Shloer as well. Probably the Shloer and Game Spirit."

The son of Saddex is currently a 33/1 chance with Paddy Power to land the Queen Mother Champion Chase next March.

Stablemate Haddex Des Obeaux, who is also by Saddex, could follow a similar path in the two-mile chase division.

The Ollie Harris-owned six-year-old looked to hold every chance of making a winning reappearance at Cheltenham last weekend until departing at the final fence. Gary Moore reports the progressive young chaser to be none the worse for that final obstacle mishap on Saturday and suggests he could join stablemate Editeur Du Gite back at the Prestbury Park venue for the Shloer or have a crack at the Grade 1 Tingle Creek at Sandown.

"He seems fine," said Moore. "He was running a nice race; it was just a bit of a tired fall in his first run for a long time. He was jumping pretty good up until then.

"It will either be the Shloer next, or he will go straight for the Tingle Creek."

Whilst Moore clearly holds a strong hand in the two-line chase division, the Lower Beeding-based handler looks to have two exciting prospects for the novice chasing ranks with both Authorised Speed and Givega nearing their first outings over the larger obstacles.

"They are both going novice chasing,"

"They are nearing a run, Authorised Speed will probably be a week behind Givega, but Givega is ready to go. He was nearly entered at Ascot [on Saturday], but we will save him for the next Ascot.

"I'm thinking two and a half miles, Authorised maybe two, but Givega definitely two and a half miles."
