Shane Foley suffered a broken collarbone during a fall at Gowran Park on Monday when his Jessica Harrington-trained mount clipped heels with another runner. He has ridden Sprewell in the colt's five career starts and finished fourth in the Epsom Derby, where the colt suffered a troubled passage in the closing stages before making headway one furlong out.

With connections of Arrest expressing their intention to head to the Curragh on 2 July, the Irish Classic is shaping into an exciting race with the top three from the Epsom Derby also expected to re-oppose.

Jessica Harrington gave an update on her stable star's progress: "He went to Nicky's [Henderson] beforehand and he came out of the race grand. He just had a nice trot and little canter on Wednesday morning. He looks well and I'm happy enough with him. He's eaten up well and put on weight.

"I'm not saying he would have won or been second, but I thought he would have been third, had he had a clear run. He was blocked twice.

"Sprewell will go to the Irish Derby next. Hopefully Shane will be back to ride him by then. Ronan Whelan has won a couple of stakes race for me already this year, or there's Colin Keane."
