Emily Upjohn can book Classic ticket at York

Emily Upjohn made a huge impression on her reappearance at Sandown last month and is tough to oppose in the Tattersalls Musidora Stakes at York.

A narrow winner of a novice event at Wolverhampton in November, the daughter of Sea The Stars was a hot favourite for her three-year-old debut in Esher three weeks ago.

What followed was a hugely impressive display as Emily Upjohn rocketed almost 10 lengths clear, with jockey Frankie Dettori revealing afterwards she had been lighting up the Newmarket gallops.

John and Thady Gosden's filly was immediately slashed for the Cazoo Oaks at Epsom and she is expected to enhance her Classic credentials with victory on the Knavesmire.

Happy Romance can make race fitness count in the 1895 Duke Of York Clipper Logistics Stakes.

The Dandy Man filly proved a real money-spinner for her connections as a juvenile two seasons ago as she won lucrative sales races at Newbury and York, as well as striking gold at Group Three level.

A three-year-old campaign for sprinters is notoriously tough, but Happy Romance still managed to bag a Listed prize and another Group Three and was only beaten a length in Haydock's Sprint Cup in September.

Her first two efforts of 2022 have proved she is at least as good, if not better than ever, as she finished a close third in Saudi Arabia and second to A Case Of You in the Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan.

While some of her major rivals have been off the track for several months, Richard Hannon's filly is hard fit and looks sure to be involved at the business end.

William Haggas loves a winner at York and can strike gold with Gaassee in the opening Sky Bet Race To The Ebor Jorvik Handicap.

The four-year-old built on a promising debut third at Lingfield by comfortably winning novice contests at Chester and Newcastle.

He completed his hat-trick with an emphatic display on his handicap debut at Kempton and is 9lb higher on his return to action as a result.

On the face of it that looks a steep rise, but there is every chance Gaassee can progress into a Pattern race performer later in the year and the Haggas team could not be in better form.

Trainer David Loughnane has enjoyed an excellent start to the season and can add to his tally with Mojomaker in the Paddy Power "Here For The Craic" Handicap.

The three-year-old has always been talented, but it was beginning to look like he may have reached his ceiling after finishing fourth on his first two starts of 2022 on the all-weather.

However, the combination of being gelded and a wind operation very nearly paid immediate dividends on his return to turf at Doncaster last month as he was beaten just a nose.

A 3lb hike makes life tougher, but a bold bid is anticipated nonetheless.

Symbol Of Hope should register a third win at Bath in the Download The At The Races App Handicap.

The Grace Harris-trained gelding won over this course and distance last month, finished second at Chepstow four days later and returned to Bath to score comfortably last week.

He clearly likes the track and fast ground and a 5lb penalty is unlikely to be enough to prevent him from going in again.

Newton Abbot punters are advised to side with Get Back Get Back in the Racing Welfare Handicap Hurdle, while Bob's Bar rates the best bet at Perth in the Racing Welfare Supporting Mental Health Awareness Novices' Handicap Chase.

At Worcester, Cool Stone can get off the mark following four successive runner-up finishes in the Free Tips Daily On attheraces.com Mares' Maiden Hurdle.
