William Haggas will not make any decision over the possible participation of Call To Mind in the Lexus Melbourne Cup until after the Qatar Goodwood Cup.

The Newmarket handler intends to run the son of Galileo, who is owned by the Queen, in the two-mile Group One prize following his victory in the Belmont Gold Cup in America.

Haggas said: “I think he is going to go to the Goodwood Cup first and then we will decide what we will do after that.

“That (Melbourne Cup) is a decision the owner and the racing manager will have to decide and let me know. I’m sure they (Victoria Racing Club) are keen to have him there.

“He is great and has been really good since coming back from America.”

Plans remain up in the air for Lincoln winner Addeybb, who has not been sighted since finishing down the field in the Lockinge at Newbury in May.

Haggas added: “There are no plans for Addeybb at the moment. He needs the rain.”
