Jeremy Noseda's globetrotter Grandeur has been retired.
The six-year-old Verglas gelding won 10 of his 31 races, amassing nearly £600,000 in prize money and claiming two Grade Two prizes in America in 2012.
Grandeur lined up in two Grade One events at Belmont Park last term and after returning from the States, he secured what was to be the final success of his career in the Listed Foundation Stakes at Goodwood last September.
Noseda told his official website: "Grandeur was a great servant to the yard and a delight to have around.
"He was a tough and hardy horse, who always gave us his best. This was well illustrated last year we scheduled an American campaign for him and he produced three really good runs over an eight-week period.
"We are all sad to see him leave Shalfleet but it is time for him to enjoy an honourable enjoyment."
