Custom Cut Heads To York

David O'Meara, trainer of second-placed Custom Cut, who finished two lengths behind the winner Arod, said, "We're very pleased."

"The penalty [for winning the Group Two bet365 Mile at Sandown on April 24] makes life a bit tougher for him but he's given a good run today. We might go to the Skybet Stakes at York over 10 furlongs next."

Complicit finished third, a length and a quarter behind Custom Cut. The Captain Rio colt is trained by Paul Cole, who said: "He might go for a mile and a quarter handicap at Royal Ascot after this, depending on the ground, but he may go up (in the handicap) after this."
