The venue for Monterosso's return to action has still not been decided.
He holds an entry in Saturday's Coronation Cup at Epsom but his participation in that is still not certain according to trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni.
"We changed the plan. I think we'll all sit down with the boss (Sheikh Mohammed) and decide where we go with him," Al Zarooni said..
"He's in the Coronation Cup and he could run there, but his options are open. His Highness has not decided where he wants to run him yet.
"As he's won the biggest race of them all we want to be careful with him."
