The £100,000 Nayef Joel Stakes (2.25pm), newly promoted to Group Two status, takes place the day before the Betfred Cambridgeshire on Friday, September 23.
The mile contest, which forms part of the inaugural QIPCO British Champions Series, has 21 high-class contenders going forward, among them the Richard Hannon-trained Dubawi Gold, runner-up to Frankel in the Group One QIPCO 2000 Guineas and successful in the Group Two Celebration Mile at Goodwood on August 27.
Group Two German 2,000 Guineas hero Excelebration, trained by Marco Botti, was second to Frankel in the Group Three Greenham Stakes at Newbury, while Group One winner Zoffany, trained by Aidan O'Brien, was second to Khalid Abdulla's stunning colt in the Group One St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Other notable entries include last season's Group One Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner Poet's Voice, and fellow Saeed bin Suroor-trained Group One winner Rio De La Plata, as well as the Godolphin trainer's Saamidd, a high-class juvenile but last seen finishing down the field in the QIPCO 2000 Guineas.
