The R125 000, Listed Woolavington Handicap(2400m) was won in style by the Dean Kannemeyer trained favourite, Blake, at the country course of Durbanville in the Cape.

The Dynasty gelding started favourite in his last outing, the Listed Settlers Trophy, but could only find the third box on the day. He clearly has come on from that run and this time the favourite showed no mercy as he mowed down the opposition in the home straight.
Golden Parachute grabbed the early lead, followed by Hospitality, C Major and Blake, while Cayman Island was the trailer. With no early pace, Karis Teetan on Hospitality decided to liven things up a bit and the front running gelding soon pulled clear, spreading the field over 15 lengths.
Down the back straight Hospitality led by four, with Golden Parachute in second and Blake sitting just off him.
Down the home straight, Karel Nesius moved Blake into the centre of the track and started closing the gap on Hospitality, while Andrew Fortune unleashed Cayman Island from the back of the field.
Blake came storming home in the closing stages to win by a length from Hospitality. Posh Boy finished a further 1.25L back in third, while Two Strikes flew up for fourth.
Blake by Dynasty out of the Nassipour mare Watercolours(NZ) recorded his sixth career win from 22 starts, taking his earnings to R379 321. He was bred by the Pee Bee stud and is owned by Messrs D L Brugman, R W Deacon, R Kay and I M Rudden.
