RACE 1

TARO SAN (3) – Won a recent trial after failing last start over 1600m. He didn’t run the distance on that occasion, the 1400m here looks more within his range. Hard to beat against modest Class 4 horse here.
SCORPIO (1) – Has the 2kg claim for Shafrizal Saleh and looks well suited here on 58kgs at a mark of 67. Can improve.
HERO STAR (11) – Can race on the speed here rising in distance and with just 51.5kgs (before claim) this horse will take a stack of running down.
FUSION POWER (7) – Is a question mark over 1400m, but did hit the line okay last start. Worth including among the chances.

RACE 2

QIJI COMMANDER (7) – Is having his second start in Class 5 company here. It looks a perfect race for this three-year-old to break through. Can lead over the 1000m and be very hard to catch.
NATURAL IMPULSE (6) – Looks the danger here off a mark of 48. Has not been back into Class 5 since June 2016. Can improve.
AABIR (1) – Is not the strongest horse and looks suited back to the 1000m. Can race on the speed and with the 4kg allowance for Riduan Abu Bakar, he should run very well.
ASTRA (2) – Is back into Class 5 here and a winner previously in the grade by 3.8 lengths. Has worked strongly this week and warrants some respect.

RACE 3

SATELLITE WINNER (6) – Is racing well, placed at the horse’s previous two starts. Last time got back midfield but worked home soundly behind Howl to be beaten half-a-length. Wide draw looks no major issue in this Polytrack event. Top pick.
BEAUTIFUL DAY (8) – Is a month between runs since a nice effort resuming from a spell behind Longhu. Finished third there and should improve for that run.
COPACABANA (2) – Honest Class 4 horse that will race on the speed and battle on well. Among the chances.
ELUSIVE EMPEROR (1) – Is the class runner and on his best form would blow this field away. If there is money for him here he could well prove too strong.

RACE 4

MY WIN (3) – A last-start winner and must be respected in a race of this nature. Leading hope.
GANGNAM CLASSIC (8) – Looks interesting from a good gate and has the bonus of Michael Rodd in the saddle. Can give the selection most to think about.
ALARANCH (7) – With not much speed in the race, this frontrunning mare can give a bold sight out in front.
CASSIS OOLONG (10) – Not getting any younger but knows what the game is all about and it would be no surprise to see him run a sound race.

RACE 5

MR BACHARACH (4) – Debuts for Shane Baertschiger in Singapore. 1400m first-up is what he wants, the horse has natural stamina and has performed well up to a mile in strong company back in Australia. If fancied, will be too classy.
WIJAYA (1) – Wasn’t given the greatest ride last start and covered heaps of extra ground. Up to 1400m here from a good gate with the claim, he looks very hard to beat.
GALILEO’S APPROACH (2) – Is now third-up into this preparation and should be ready to show something now that he’s getting fitter.
SACRED MAGIC (3) – Has dropped six points in his last five runs and should be able to improve off a rating of 60.

RACE 6

HENG KINGDOM (1) – Looks a strong winning hope back to Class 5 and up in distance. Is a one-paced type that seems to stay well enough for 2000m. Against weak opposition, he gets his chance to win.
TUN O’REILLY (10) – Has been poor in two runs since finishing third behind Majestic Empress in a Class 4 2000m. A repeat of that performance will win this race, take on trust.
LARRY (3) – Missed the start last time which isn’t always a great sign but he will run the 2000m and has been running in harder races than this.
BIG REGARDS (7) – Class 5 performer that can put in a poor run but on his best, is among the chances.

RACE 7

SUN MARSHAL (1) – Resumes off a let-up here and has trialled well. Has decent ability and should be able to roll forward from his wide barrier and make his own luck. Providing he doesn’t have to work too hard early he should give a good kick in the straight here and be hard to beat.
TIME LORD (4) – Is a roarer but last start ran a fantastic race behind Glasgow. Hit the line solidly and if he can be trusted to repeat that run, he’s right in this.
CHALAZA (2) – Is racing in good form and gets a nice run from barrier No 5 with Michael Rodd on. Chance.
FAME STAR (9) – Is a little suspect at 1400m but is super fit and racing very honestly.

RACE 8

SMILING PROUD (6) – Vlad Duric on here after getting too far back from a poor barrier last start. Really ate up the line, in particular the last 50m. If able to settle closer and get some cover, he will be hard to hold out.
FORESTO (2) – Is flying. Scratched since winning last start but has trialled strongly indicating he’s ready for this. Danger.
YAYA PAPAYA (7) – Honest Polytrack horse in this grade and from barrier No 1, has a great chance.
MIGHTY EMPEROR (1) – Was awful last start but is better than that. An improved performance certainly would not shock.

RACE 9

AUGUSTUS (4) – Raced flat second-up after a big win resuming. Didn’t parade great on that occasion either. If he turns up here in good order, he can bounce back. Is a capable type.
LITTLE BIG MAN (2) – Sails to the front here and will take catching. Ran a brave second to Circuit Mission two starts back.
ABSOLVIDO (11) – Has a light weight here and can improve. Was given no chance of winning last start but from a wide barrier is better suited and can let down with a powerful finish.
JOMO (5) – Trialled well since his last outing and if he runs 1400m, he’ll be in the finish.

RACE 10

KING ZOUSTAR (4) – One-paced type that will make his own luck from a good barrier. Very fit and should run well.
DRONE (2) – Sound effort last time after getting favours to win prior. In this grade he should be around the mark. Danger.
WINNING HOBBY (6) – Has a few concerning gear changes – shock plates on both front forelegs. He is the best horse in the race though and if he runs to his potential can blow these away.
JULIUS CAESAR (1) – Struggled under the big weight last time. Again connections opt for no claim and Vlad Duric, but his ability under 60kgs is questionable.
