RACE 1

GRAND KNIGHT (1) - Is down in grade and has one win over 1400m beating a handy field. Will be a big price but could can improve after being disappointing recently.
PAPERBACK TROOPER (7) – Runner-up over course and distance three runs back. Is a winner under similar conditions and looks a major player.
ROYAL PAVILION (10) - One to watch on the scene late, a notable backmarker or onpace runner. Will be a big price and should be a chance at good-each way odds.
DIAMOND KING (6) – Has shown ability in six starts. Reunited with comeback Malaysian apprentice jockey Lim Aun Kean. Wide gate against him but if he can come across early, he can run a cheeky race here.

RACE 2

ON LINE (8) – A$210,000 two-year-old purchase. This Michael Clements-trained three-year-old is out of a 1200m winner and has trialled extremely well in preparation for this debut and is the mount of Vlad Duric. Big player.
DAWNING GOLD (5) – A son of Dawn Approach and has looked pretty forward enough in his trials to-date, most recently when second to On Line. He comes from a good stable and it would be no surprise to see natural progression.
INVISIBLE (11) – US$100,000 buy. Has a strong US pedigree and is a half-brother to the Grade 3 winning Vinceremos (Sam F Davis Handicap), he has looked good at the trials and comes from a yard that has a great record with newcomers.
YULONG EXPRESS (15) – Would be the form pick if he gains a start in this field.

RACE 3

OTTAWA (1) – Race-fit on the back of a win and a good second last time. There is plenty of pace on here and that will suit him. Big chance.
GOOD CATCH (8) – A first runner for Jason Lim and looks nicely handicapped on his best form. Gets the blinkers on and has trialled well.
PIONEER SEVEN (10) – An on-pace nine-year-old who knows the game inside out. Will run well again under these conditions.
FULIFE KING (3) – Has some decent form in the book and has the added assistance of champion jockey Vlad Duric. A must for the quartet.

RACE 4

PRIME TIME (14) – Was strongly fancied on debut when backed into favouritism. He was safely held in fourth place but on trial form prior and the confidence around this horse, don’t be surprised if he improves sharply here. Top pick.
MOWGLI (11) – Is a stablemate to Prime Time and is also prepared by Michael Clements. Japanese bred three-year-old wo trialeld well enough to be strongly considered in a race of this nature.
EASY SOUTH EAST (4) – Was placed behind Axel back in March. Axel has run well since and with any luck from the wide gate (13) this James Peters-trained galloper can be in the finish.
HAPPY LUCKY STAR (5) – Has won two trials and looks quite strong. Was pulling away from his rivals in winning latest trial and with Vlad Duric staying on board. This horse is worth keeping on side.

RACE 5

WHITE TRUFFLE (2) - Lost nothing in defeat last start when 2 ¼ lengths behind the winner over 1100m and that run suggests he is ready. Major player.
METAGROSS (3) – Lightly-raced four-year-old who will be open to further improvement in this sort of company on the back of two placings over 1000m and 1100m.
ACCUMULATION (5) - Runs home well with a good strong finish, a player.
BEJEWELLED (4) - Has run some sound races in defeats in eight starts, has a decent level of maiden form. Chance at each-way odds.

RACE 6

GENTLEMEN AGREEMENT (13) – Put a line through his last run. Switches back to the turf surface and remains at the 1600m. Well drawn to get the right run and will appreciate the lightweight. Respect.
OUR PINNACLE (2) – Performed well last start when a runaway leader affected the tempo of the affair. Well suited over the track/distance and still has the upside to improve. Major player.
GOLAZO (1) – Has been struggling to produce best in recent outings but most recent runs have been better than they have looked. Worth thought on best credentials.
SACRED SEA (5) – Question mark on the turf surface but trackwork throughout the week indicates a bold showing is near and will appreciate the booking of Benny Woodworth. Don’t dismiss.

RACE 7

QUARTER BACK (14) – Continues to progress very well and is lightly-weighted on the back of two successes in lesser company. Has trialled well prior to this test and is worth siding with now that he is up in grade.
CURVATURE (4) – A solid run last time out when runner-up to smart Eye Guy over slightly further. Is a winner in this grade and deserves major respect in this contest.
GINGERELLA (9) – An above average mare for here at Kranji and is well drawn to put herself nicely into the race on the back of an excellent run in Class 1 grade.
EAGLE EYE (5) – The third of Michael Clements runners in this and is coming into this race on the back of a good win. Player.

RACE 8

SUPER POSH (10) – Comes into this on the back of two nice performances. Not ideally drawn but a big run is expected.
MAN OF MYSTERY (7) – Reunited with the champion jockey Vlad Duric (1-1) and was finishing off strongly last time out. The race can be run to suit him with a lot of pace on.
LONHRO GOLD (3) – Now back on his last winning mark (65) and that victory was in a better grade of race, finds a chance here on pick of form.
MACH (6) – In-form runner and would look a must for the quartet.
