Singapore Racing - Weekend Review - 22nd and 24th June

Elite Invincible has continued his strong recent form with a maiden Group 1 win in the Charity Bowl (1600m) at Kranji on Sunday.

Coming off a win in the Group 2 Stewards Cup (1400m), Elite Invincible ridden by Vlad Duric was able to settle just off the leaders before running on well in the straight to hold off the fast finishing Kingsman and Jupiter Gold.

The former UK-trained runner has now won five of his eight starts since coming to Singapore, missing the placings just once when pulling up with a minor injury.

The Mark Walker-trained runner returned a Timeform figure of 105, his highest since coming to Singapore and five pounds above his previous win in the Group 2 Stewards Cup.

The win was the first at Group 1 level for Mark Walker in Singapore who also secured the quinella after Kingsman launched late to run a narrow second.

Kingsman ran to a new career peak Timeform figure of 105, well above anything else he has achieved in Singapore, the first Group 1 race of his career.

Earlier in the day Majestic Moments was able to upstage some more fancied rivals with a win in the Kranji Stakes A (1400m), coming from last to beat Dance In The Wind with Nova Strike third.

Carrying 58kg with Michael Rodd on board, Majestic Moments was able to weave his way through the field in the straight to secure one of the more impressive wins of his career and the first in over two years.

Dance In The Wind was solid in second with the favourite Nova Strike in third also running a handy race with the big weight of 59.5kg.

Friday saw a couple of handy runners secure wins including Autumn Rush who took out the Kranji Stakes B (1000m) on the Polytrack.

The Steven Burridge-trained runner had been threatening in recent times and scoring his best win to date ran to a new career peak Timeform figure of 90, six pounds above his fourth placing to Skywalk three runs back in a Stakes B.

The top four out of this race all look worth following with only a length and a half between them at the finish.

Favourtie Elite Power would have lost no admirers, the only one in the top four to come from off the speed to finish third to continue his solid form this campaign.

Arc Triumph also looks one to follow making it back to back wins in the Class 3 over 1200m on the Pollytrack.

The John Peters-trained runner who is working through the grades nicely returned a Timeform figure of 80, the same as his previous win and is certainly worth keeping an eye on as he progresses.
