Myers, 28, has been a constant in the top 10 on the jockeys' premiership this season, claiming 61 wins and for the first time passing the $1 million mark in earnings.

Stakes wins aboard Benzini and Emerald Queen and a bag of five wins at Hastings last month have been highlights.

Myers' previous best season tally was 71 in 2009-10 when she was apprenticed to Awapuni trainer Mike Breslin, though riding stints in Brisbane and Melbourne have meant that total has never been under serious threat.

She will bid to creep closer to the personal milestone with a strong book of rides at Rotorua on Saturday, with only one of her eight rides not finishing either first or second last start.

Among her rides is the Kevin Myers-trained Spring Cheer in the Gr.3 Campbell Infrastructure Rotorua Cup (2200m), the Bachelor Duke five-year-old mare a favourite for the jockey after her win in the 2013 New Zealand Cup (3200m) at Riccarton.

Myers has been back aboard the Oaks Stud-bred and raced mare in each of her three starts back from a long injury layoff and has been pleased with her progress, capped by her open handicap second placing at Otaki last week.

"She went really well at Otaki and she should be right up to her best," Myers said.

"I'd love to win the Rotorua Cup for Kevin. I know how much he loves winning the Rotorua Cup."

Myers is reunited with the Greg Lambert-trained She's Slinky for the Listed Windsor Park Stud Rotorua Stakes (1400m) for fillies and mares, the Handsome Ransom six-year-old mare bringing strong form of a win and two placings in three starts back this preparation under apprentice Leah Hemi.

"She should be a really good chance. She's been going great races and she'll come into her own on a heavy track," Myer said.

Myers other rides are The Knight's Queen, Hot Spot, Broadwalk, Gilt, Sir Manawa and Airworthy.
