Godolphin and James Cummings landed a one-two punch in a late season two-year-old race at Sandown that could provide a look to the upcoming spring.

Photograph ($4.80) scored an impressive 3-¼ length win under Blake Shinn from her more fancied stablemate Diamond Firetail ($4.40) in the Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap (1300m) on Wednesday.

The $2 favourite Jazzclub was a further 1-¼ lengths away third.

Godolphin representative Nacim Dilmi said Photograph had only arrived down at Cummings' Flemington stable 'a few days ago' but had settled in well.

Photograph is a half-sister to Commemorative and Contemporary, both Godolphin winners, but Dilmi said Wednesday's winner was on the small side compared to her siblings.

"She's definitely not Commemorative size, she's probably half the size to be honest, but she has a decent engine and easy to deal with," Dilmi told racing.com.

"She was our very first Blue Point winner and now brings her second. Her win at Scone was very dominant and she's done it again, so it's great to see."

Dilmi said Photograpgh would stretch out further than 1300m but said the stable was likely to take their time with the filly.

He was also pleased with the performance of Diamond Firetail who was also sent down from NSW for Wednesday's contest.

"We have a big opinion of both of them and it's great to see both jockeys, Damian Lane and Blake Shinn, keep dominating in Victoria at the moment," Dilmi said.

"It's a great battle."

Shinn was impressed with the way Photograph went about her work in stretching out in the straight to record an easy win.

"That was very impressive," Shinn said.

"She did everything right. She jumped nice, she got into a lovely spot, getting some cover.

"She balanced up early in the straight, but really let down with a powerful sprint and held that right to the line.

"That's the sign of a filly going forward into the spring, and she could be effective in some better races."
