Zac Kasa On The Rise

The Cliff Brown trained Zac Kasa took a good step forward in his return and appears well placed to go on with the job this evening.

Due to contest the third event, Zac Kasa easily justified his heavy market support ($1.20) first up, when saluting comfortably over 1200m.

While the bare margin (1.3L) might not appear that dominant, there was a further 5L back to the third and he ran very sharp time in the process.

Given an easy time out in front under Michael Rodd, Zac Kasa was never really asked for much in the straight.

The Mark Walker trained Lim's Zoom loomed briefly but Zac Kasa always had his measure, coasting to the line late.

Trainer Cliff Brown has not been one to hide his high opinion of Zac Kasa labelling him as potentially one of the best horses he has trained - a fair push indeed!

He steps up sharply in grade, however if he is going to reach the heights the stable think he can, he should be winning.

From the inside draw he looks to get a lovely run for Michael Rodd and can either lead or sit just off.

The time figures he recorded last start were very strong and if able to improve again he certainly sets a decent marker to run at.

One of the highest rated maiden winners we've seen in some time, expect Zac Kasa to take that next step this evening.

The Michael Clements trained Imperium looms as the main danger, having also won well last start at this track and distance.

While not rated as high as Zac Kasa, he too remains open to further improvement and cannot be underestimated with Vlad Duric linking aboard for the first time.

Stablemate Loving You impressed winning on debut and while yet to be seen on the turf, she is clearly progressive and the fact Boss sticks is a decent push for her chances.

Of the rest the Saimee trained Boy Wonder appears the next in line.

A handy winner first up, Boy Wonder is one of six last start winners engaged and with further improvement up his sleeve, he has to be considered.

Good luck and happy punting.
