Mr Hanks To Bounce Back in Juvenile Championship

Mr Hanks will look to bounce back to the winners circle when he lines up in the Juvenile Championship (1400m) at Kranji on Sunday.

The former New Zealand-trained runner was terrific in his Singapore debut when winning the Inglis Ready2Race Stakes (1200m) by an impressive four and a half lengths, kicking well clear in the straight.

Mr Hanks was unable to go on with it in the Aushorse Golden Horseshoe when finishing worse than midfield from a wide draw.

Drawn much better today, Mr Hanks should be able to settle off the pace from barrier 3 and the smaller field will also be of benefit to the son of Showcasing.

Form prior to last start suggests he is a horse with plenty of ability and if he can return to anything near his best he will be very hard to hold out.

The Aushorse Golden Horseshoe winner Be Bee shapes up as the main danger, remaining undefeated from two career runs now.

Settling off the pace in the Horseshoe, Be Bee raced away in the straight for an impressive win and certainly looks an improving type.

Also by Showcasing, Be Bee has not drawn as well today and may need a bit of luck but he is a horse on the rise and should give a good sight again today.

Ferocious was another who was disappointing in the Golden Horseshoe following a terrific debut win in the Juvenile Stakes the start prior.

Still finished the race off well enough to give him some sort of hope today and the tongue-Tie goes on for this.

Won’t want to get too far back today and would not be surprised to see him make his way into the placings.

Charger was terrific in the Golden Horseshoe last start when runner up at big odds, having led throughout from the good draw.

Not drawn as well today but would still expect him to push forward and control the race in front.

Showed last start he isn’t afraid to fight on in the straight but not sure he will be able to get the better of the top few chances in this field.

First Choice will take on tougher company today following a last start win in maiden company over 1200m at his second career outing.

Like many of these is an improving type and he showed enough on that occasion to suggest he could give a good sight in this company.

Good luck!
