The Peter Gelagotis-trained Rostock is the horse to be with in the last race at Kilmore today.

Stable form looks a key positive for Rostock at Kilmore with the Gelagotis yard having made a terrific start to the new season.

After turning a profit on turnover for the past three seasons the Gelagotis stable have started the new racing year white hot, with five winners coming at a strike-rate of 26% and returning a profit on turnover of +1.6%.

Rostock is yet to add himself to the Gelagotis winners list but he has been racing consistently well and Racing And Sports Ratings show him very well placed at Kilmore today.

He was back to his best on his home track of Moe last time, appreciating stepping back out to the mile, and he looks to have the hoof firmly on the till on the back of that run.

Running deep into a preparation and improving with racing is something that the Gelagotis team can get their horses to do. In fact, four of this season's five winners have come with horses that were at least five runs into their campaign. So there is a good lead there that the best of Rostock can still be ahead of him this time in.

Away from Rostock the quinella and trifecta horses look to be Hell On Earth and Manhattan Muse.

Manhattan Muse in particular looks to be attractive odds in early betting. He runs for the Weir stable who, like the Gelagotis yard, get their horses to improve with racing and peak deep into their campaigns.

Manhattan Muse was good first up this time in but has been slightly of that form in a couple of runs since. She quickly jumps from 1200m to a mile today, though, and that could be exactly what she is looking for at this stage of the campaign.

The booking of an in-form Damien Lane is a big positive and she is well worth including in multiples around the favourite Rostock.

Best of luck and happy punting.
