Punters' Dreams To Come True

The Mark Walker trained Dream Comes True displayed sharp improvement last start and appears well placed to make it two wins in as many starts at Singapore this evening.

Due to contest the sixth event, the son of Alamosa wasn't beaten far on debut before too strong late, when breaking through for his maiden win last start.

Bred in New Zealand, Dream Comes True had displayed good ability at the trials and as a result was sent out the even money favourite on debut.

While failing to live up to market expectations on that occasion, he proceeded to repay those who stuck solid when saluting narrowly under Manoel Nunes.

Successful in beating subsequent winner Rainbow Royal, Dream Comes True appears a nice horse moving forward and can take that next step.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings Dream Comes True appears well placed off the back of his last start performance and has drawn to receive all the favours.

Leading rider Manoel Nunes sticks aboard and enjoys a solid strike rate with the Mark Walker stable.

Dream Comes True is one of five last start winners engaged, which often suggests it will prove a good form race moving forward.

With such lightly raced gallopers it is hard to be overly confident, however given what Dream Comes True displayed last start he is sure to acquit himself well.

From the inside draw he is likely to settle just off the speed and should prove hard to hold out.

The Steven Burridge trained Eclair Flash won well on debut and looms as a major threat fresh off the back of a short 70 day break.

A somewhat surprise winner on debut ($18.20 SP), Eclair Choice displayed above average ability and has since trialled solidly in the lead up.

Although bred to be better over further he is more than capable of sprinting well fresh and with Corey Brown sticking aboard, he is expected to make his presence felt.

The wide draw is a bit of a concern, however he is likely to settle in the back half of the field before being produced in the straight.

His debut win leaves him well placed when assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings and if able to improve further he holds solid winning claims.

The Dan Meagher trained Presenting Win won very impressively last start and shapes as one of the major threats.

Much like Dream Comes True, Presenting Win displayed sharp improvement at just his second start when breaking through for his maiden win.

A dominant 4.8L success when leading throughout, Presenting Win has since trialled well in the lead up and appears more than capable of taking that next step.

From the middle draw he is expected to lead and is sure to take plenty of catching if able to pinch a few cheap sectionals early.

Of the rest the Michael Clements trained Keltic Karma appears the next best.

Having finished second at both starts to begin his career, Keltic Karma returned with a bang last start when breaking through for his maiden win.

Forced to give weight away to his younger rivals here but Vlad Duric sticks and he has to be included from the favourable draw.

Good luck and happy punting.
