Kerrin McEvoy appears set to continue his impressive strike rate for the Guy Walter stable when he links aboard the Darley owned Ameliorate at Kembla Grange this afternoon.

Currently boasting a 25 per cent winning strike rate for the Warwick Farm based trainer, McEvoy appears well in line to build on that record with the lightly raced Ameliorate well placed to make a winning return in the fifth race of the day.
While only having had the three career starts to date the daughter of Commands has exhibited plenty of ability which was emphasised in her maiden victory prior to a spell when working home strongly at Goulburn over 1200m.
Taking on the likes of a number of progressive types this afternoon Ameliorate impressively possesses the highest peak Timeform figure of the field while also possessing the highest peak Timeform figure achieved for this distance.
Although the form out of maiden company at Goulburn may not appear that strong at first glance it is far from the truth as there have been five individual winners to come out of those three races including 11 individual minor placings.
Adding to that on debut she finished second to Red Dynamite who has since proven competitive in Saturday company and at her second start she finished second behind her stablemate Floor Show who was last seen in Group 3 company.
While her trials may not appear that flash on paper her recent performance behind Urban Groove at Randwick was encouraging when making up good ground late.
More notably the fact that McEvoy elected to ride the filly in this trial is a good push for this afternoon's affair.
From the awkward draw expect McEvoy to settle Ameliorate back off the speed with the Theresa Bateup trained Carbonite and the John O'Shea trained Target In Sight expected to take up the running.
Having all ready proven to possess a sharp turn of foot she should have no problems reeling in the leaders at the notoriously long Kembla Grange straight.
Must respect the Hawkes trained Danrho when he makes his return to the races off the back some handy form in Queensland.
Having trialled impressively in the lead up he appears to have come back in good order and looks well placed with Sean Guymer's claim.
Whilst also renowned for getting back in his races he is expected to be charging home late right into the finish.
Target In Sight has drawn poorly for the O'Shea stable however he also has proven impressive in his short career to date and is expected to be right around the mark.
Of the rest the Bart Cummings trained Grecian Melody and the Terry Robinson trained Duke Albert appear the next in line.
