It was Arrowfield's day at Rosehill on Saturday with five winners on the eight race card emerging from the Hunter Valley stud farm.
Success at Kembla Grange and Morphettville further underlined he stud's involvement across the industry as a stallion-maker, breeder, yearling vendor and owner.
At Rosehill the impeccably-bred 3YO colt Woodbine (Hussonet x Miss Finland by Redoute's Choice) opened the day with his third win from four starts.
Woodbine is raced by his breeders Arrowfield, John Leaver and Alan Jones in partnership with Blue Sky Thoroughbreds, David Paradice and Jeremy Tan and is the first of champion mare Miss Finland’s foals to race.
He was a $750,000 purchase by Waterhouse and Blue Sky at the 2012 Inglis Easter Sale and now has the G1 Randwick Guineas as a probable autumn target.
The Noel Mayfield-Smith-trained 2YO filly Unequivocal, by Arrowfield’s Not A Single Doubt from Chocaholic (General Nediym) followed up her stakes-placed Randwick debut in the Inglis Classic with a brave win under pressure.
She beat Delectation and the Inglis Classic winner Peggy Jean to return her owners more than twice the $39,000 that was required to buy her from the Fairview Park Stud draft at the 2013 Inglis Classic Sale.
Exciting 3YO filly All Cerise (Redoute's Choice xTrick Taker by Capote) put herself on the path to G1 targets with a commanding win over 1400m for Debbie Kepitis (nee Ingham) and family.
Last year trainer Chris Waller took another Redoute's Choice filly, Royal Descent, from benchmark racing in February to a stunning 10-length Oaks victory in April, and he is already looking in that direction with All Cerise.
All Cerise was bred by Arrowfield and Jungle Pocket, and purchased by Mrs Kepitis for $380,000 from Arrowfield's 2012 Inglis Easter Sale consignment.
Sheikh Mohammed's 4YO mare Seaside (Redoute's Choice x Living Spirit by Hennessy) posted her third city win from 10 starts, running the final 600m of the 1400m event in an impressive 33.88 seconds.
Arrowfield's brilliant day at Rosehilll ended on an emotional note when 4YO gelding Rowie (Flying Spur x Tazkara by Sinndar) stormed home to down the favourite Specific Choice over 1500 metres.
It was Rowie's fourth win from 10 starts for trainer Paul Messara and owners Arrowfield, John Leaver, Paul Favretto and Paul Rowe, whose son Andrew died in 2011. His memory is commemorated by the horse's name.
Rowie is a result of Arrowfield's joint breeding venture with His Highness the Aga Khan. His dam also has a 2YO daughter, Downtown Manhattan, and a yearling colt, both by Manhattan Rain, and a 2013 filly by Snitzel.
At Kembla Grange Arrowfield sires dominated the 2YO race providing the first four runners past the post.
The winner was the filly Ygritte (Snitzel x Deputy Lil by French Deputy), a $135,000 purchase by Kitchwin Hills from Arrowfield's 2013 Inglis Classic Sale draft and became the 23rd Snitzel winner prepared by Gerald Ryan.
Runner-up was Singles Soiree, a colt by Not A Single Doubt from Belle Soiree (Success Express), an Inglis Scone Sale graduate bought by trainer Terry Croft.
The trifecta was completed by the Manhattan Rain colt Chengdu (ex Two Beauties by Red Ransom), sold for $140,000 by Newhaven Park at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale to trainer Gai Waterhouse and agent James Harron.
Magic Topaze (Not A Single Doubt x Dark Topaze by Fuji Kiseki) was fourth.
Snitzel currently leads the Australian General Sires' table and is the leading sire of 2YOs by winners with a tally of seven, including Groupo and Listed winner Oakleigh Girl, Listed winner Golconda, stakes-placed winner Sheer Style and Sydney winner Time For War.
Ygritte's three-quarter sister by Not A Single Doubt was purchased from Arrowfield by Queensland trainer Stuart Kendrick for $70,000 at last month's Inglis Classic Sale.
Not A Single Doubt has five Australian juvenile winners this season, notably stakeswinner Risen From Doubt and Saturday’s Rosehill winner Unequivocal.
First season sire Manhattan Rain has now had three placegetters, Giuliani, First Rain and Chengdu, from a handful of starters.
In Adelaide Starcraft's 3YO daughter Goodfun Girl relished her first try over 1600m at Morphettville, romping home by three lengths for her second win.
Bred by Toorak Park Stud, Goodfun Girl is another graduate of South Australia's celebrated Mill Park Stud and was retained by Harry Perks and partners after being passed in at the 2012 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.
Trained by Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas, the filly broke her maiden at Oakbank in December at her second run this season after four 2YO starts that yielded a couple of placings.
Goodfun Girl is the first foal of city winner Queen's Kiss (French Deputy), a great-grand-daughter of 2YO stakeswinner and Golden Slipper placed Loving Cup and a relative of G1 2YO winner Sizzling (Snitzel) and multiple stakeswinner Hoss Amor.
All are members of the Clinging Vine family developed by celebrated South Australian winemaker and sportsman Wyndham Hill-Smith.
Starcraft is enjoying success with his current 2YOs including Sydney winner Statton, stakes placed Dual Star and placegetters Jinx and Star Drop.
Starcraft has 22 lots in next month's Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale, including four colts and three fillies to be offered by Arrowfield.
