Nothing Discreet About This Family

Adelaide breeder David Peacock has been enjoying long and lasting success with the “Discreet” family, source of yet another feature winner Just Discreet in Saturday’s G3 Spring Stakes at Morphettville.

A 5YO daughter of newly crowned champion sire Exceed And Excel, Just Discreet was to sharp for her rivals at her first start since May in a triumph for her trainer Phillip Stokes.

Just Discreet continued a great family tradition of black-type success, achieving her second stakes win after a previous win in the Listed Matrice Stakes over 1300m at the same course.

Bred and raced by David Peacock, Just Discreet is out of the stakes placed Bluebird mare Oh So Discreet, dam of the G1 Australasian oaks winer Maybe Discreet.

Oh So Discreet is a stakes placed city winning daughter of the excellent mare Halo Again (Don’t Say Halo). All seven of that mare’s named foals made it to the track and all were winners including G3 Dermody Stakes winners Be Discreet (Euclase) and She’s Discreet (Euclase) as well as fellow stakes winners Gilded Angel (Made Of Gold), My Advocator (At Talaq) and Oahu (Favorite Trick).

She’s Discreet has also proven a terrific broodmare producing the Listed winners I’m Discreet (Elusive Quality) and Very Discreet (Exceed And Excel).

Oh So Discreet has a Commands two-year-old colt that was sold as a yearling for $425,000 to the Hong Kong Jockey Club as well as a yearling colt by Lonhro.

Recording the fifth victory of her 22 start career, Just Discreet is one of 71 stakeswinners by Exceed And Excel.
