Premier Sale Treble At Turffontein

Melbourne Premier sale products enjoyed some notable success in South Africa on Saturday, led by the win of the Rock Of Gibraltar mare Acetri Pink in the G2 Ipi Tombe Challenge at Turffontein.

The Geoff Woodruff trained Acetri Pink won by four lengths for her fifth win in 20 starts, more than repaying the $45,000 she cost when purchased at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale as yearling by Heritage Bloodstock.

She is the first foal of the Galileo mare Arcetri, an unraced half sister to the G2 winner Camena and Jai's Jump.

She was one of three Australian-breds to win on the Summer Cup program at Turffontein.

The three year-old Encosta de Lago colt Mac de Lago won on debut for trainer Weiho Marwing in 1160m maiden.

He was a $65,000 Inglis Melbourne Premier purchase by James Bester Bloodstock and is the third winner from the G1 winner Macavelli Miss.

Thatho Magestique completed a double for Rock Of Gibraltar with his second win second win from five starts for the Geoff Woodruff stable.

He was a $41,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Heritage Bloodstock.

Also on the Turffontein program Harry's Son, a 3YO colt by Haradasun from Dash On Ruby also finished second in the G2 Investec Dingaans and Killua Castle (Churchill Downs x Prayers'n' Promises) was second in the G1 Gauteng Summer Cup.
